What to Expect
We use the CryoStar whole-body liquid nitrogen cryochamber, which exposes your entire body to temperatures from -140 to -240 degrees, depending on your needs and tolerances. The sessions are short, ranging from 1-3 minutes.
Based on your specific condition, your chiropractor may recommend this therapy as part of your overall care plan. You may receive your adjustment, cryo session and any other modalities, such as e-stim at the same visit to save you trips to the office.
For acute conditions, such as sprain/strain injuries, we typically recommend three sessions per week for the first two weeks, gradually tapering off as inflammation and pain decrease. It may take 10-20 sessions to experience the maximum effects. However, most people experience some relief within a few sessions.
